This is my little 6 year old self singing my very first solo! I’m glad I ‘stuck to it’ since then.
So this is it….
I’ve graduated college and I am finally free to do whatever the hell I want! I am so excited to be done and to now get on with this great adventure of life.
I finished off 2012 with a bang! Literally, I shot off a cap gun in my recital performance of Miranda Lambert’s “Gunpowder & Lead.” I had so much fun performing with such an amazing group of musicians, and I am looking forward to all the future performances to come! My time as a vocal major at McNally Smith College of Music taught me so much about life, love, and music. I cannot wait to go out into the world and apply all the knowledge that has put me $20,000 in debt.
I think the worst part of graduating from college was the incessant question from people of “What are you going to do?” ….. What am I going to do??? I’m going to SLEEP!!! Then eat, breathe, work, play, and just flat out live! In 2013, I plan to continue my job as an intern at The Fineline Music Cafe and I will pursue other avenues and jobs as well. I am looking to start and join multiple bands because I want to perform as much as possible. I actually want to perform more than possible! I plan on using the skills I learned in college to go out and market myself to become a successful businesswoman and musician in the Twin Cities as well as nationwide.
Thank you for all of your support thus far! I plan to continue to work hard to make you proud!
